Kate likes to take inspiration from nature and create a range of artworks. This includes standalone pieces, embellished frames and large pictures combining wet felt, needle felt, free motion machine and hand embroidery.

An exhibition by Barbadian/Bath artist Simbah Pilè, traditional Ethiopian paintings reflecting the heritage of the building, and drawings by Karen Wallis.

On Sunday, Fairfield House has historical guided tours about the lives of the Ethiopian Royal Family in Bath on offer at 12pm and 1.30pm with lunch available afterwards.

 
 

Nigel Gardner

Painting

Nigel often paints land or sea-scapes as well as still life. The intention is to produce something he could live with that conveys a feeling, sense of a place or a moment.

Ann’s paintings and linocuts are figurative, often featuring people at work or play. She will also be showing, for the first time, a new series of work, ‘Nepalese Homes’, using collage, acrylic ink and paint.

 
 

Nicola Hyman

Upcycled Jewellery

The theme is eco in essence. Nicola reuses, reworks and redesigns existing materials, many of which would be wasted.

Her work includes earrings and pendants made from wine corks and coffee pods, bangles from guitar strings and necklaces from stone beads.
